Browser-local data
Many player features work without an account and store drafts, collection data, builds, tier lists, run records, and your analytics choice in your browser. Player data stays on that browser unless you export it or enable account sync.
Accounts and optional sync
If you create an account, the authentication provider processes your email address and account credentials. When you explicitly enable supported sync, CAPPED stores the player records needed to restore that data across sessions. Passwords are not stored by CAPPED.
Messages and support
If you email us, we receive the information you include so we can answer the request. Do not send account passwords, API keys, or other secrets.
Analytics
Vercel Web Analytics
CAPPED uses Vercel Web Analytics for anonymous, aggregate traffic measurement such as page views, visitors, referrers, country, browser, operating system, and device type. It does not use third-party cookies or create a persistent identity that follows visitors across websites. Query strings and identifier portions of account activity and Guild HQ member URLs are removed before page views are sent.
PostHog web and product analytics
PostHog measures anonymous page visits and Core Web Vitals in cookieless mode. This baseline does not use cookies or browser storage for a persistent PostHog identifier, create a person profile, record a session, or recognize a returning visitor. Page URLs are sent without query strings.
If you choose “Allow product analytics,” PostHog can additionally receive broad referral and campaign fields, device and browser context, returning-visitor signals, content engagement milestones, tool usage, and success events such as saving a run. Search terms, form values, email addresses, passwords, account content, and private record names are not sent.
With permission, session replay is limited to a 20% browser-session sample, never starts on account, authentication, or Guild HQ routes, masks all page text and inputs, and is used to diagnose navigation and interface friction. Identified analytics use the account's internal user ID only after product analytics consent; email is not attached.
PostHog processes analytics in its United States cloud. CAPPED uses the data for aggregate product, retention, acquisition, reliability, and usability analysis and does not sell personal information.
Your choices
The analytics choice controls persistent PostHog product analytics and sampled replay. Choosing “Anonymous only” leaves only cookieless PostHog page/performance measurement and Vercel's aggregate measurement active. You can reopen the choice at any time, use local-only features, export or clear local player data, pause supported sync, and delete your player account from Settings. Account deletion is permanent after confirmation.
